A Cautionary Tale of a Red Light

The story goes that there was a young man named Nam, known as the “Speed King” in the Nam Tu Liem district of Hanoi. Confident in his driving skills and disregarding traffic laws, he frequently treated red lights as mere suggestions.

Late one evening, after a few drinks with friends in Cau Giay, Nam sped home on his motorcycle. Reaching the Xuan Thuy – Ho Tung Mau intersection, he ignored the red signal and raced through. At that very moment, a truck approached from the opposite direction…

Fortunately, the truck driver braked in time, averting a catastrophic accident. However, Nam’s motorcycle was severely damaged, and he sustained injuries requiring hospitalization. Lying in his hospital bed, Nam was filled with remorse. He realized his recklessness had nearly cost him his life and caused immense pain to his family.

Nam’s story serves as a valuable lesson for those who disregard traffic laws.

Conclusion

Running a red light is a dangerous act that directly threatens your safety and the safety of the community. Drive responsibly and obey traffic laws for your own well-being and the well-being of others.
