Minimum Driving Age in Vietnam

According to current regulations in Vietnam, the minimum age to obtain a car driving license is as follows:

18 years old: This is the minimum age to take the driving test for car license categories B1 and B2. A B1 license allows driving passenger cars with up to 9 seats, trucks with a payload under 3.5 tons, and other vehicles specified for each license category. Meanwhile, a B2 license allows driving passenger cars with up to 9 seats, trucks with a payload under 7 tons, and other vehicles specified for each license category.
21 years old: This is the minimum age to take the driving test for car license category C. A C license allows driving trucks with a payload over 3.5 tons and other vehicles specified for each license category, including vehicles allowed for B1 and B2 licenses.
24 years old: This is the minimum age to take the driving test for car license category D. A D license allows driving passenger cars with 10 to 30 seats and other vehicles specified for each license category, including vehicles allowed for B1 and B2 licenses.
27 years old: This is the minimum age to take the driving test for car license category FC. An FC license allows driving passenger cars with more than 30 seats and other vehicles specified for each license category, including vehicles allowed for B1 and B2 licenses.
