For Cars and Trucks Under 3.5 Tons:

• Fines from 800,000 VND to 1,200,000 VND for:

  • Driving a vehicle in the wrong lane.
  • Driving a car, truck (under 3,500 kg), or similar vehicle in lanes designated for rudimentary vehicles.

• Fines from 4,000,000 VND to 6,000,000 VND for:

  • Driving in a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane without authorization.

For Trucks Over 3.5 Tons and Passenger Vehicles with 9+ Seats:

• Fines from 1,000,000 VND to 1,400,000 VND for:

  • Driving a vehicle in the wrong lane.
  • Driving a car, truck (under 3,500 kg), or similar vehicle in lanes designated for rudimentary vehicles.

• Fines from 6,000,000 VND to 8,000,000 VND for:

  • Driving in a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane without authorization.

Note:

• In addition to fines, violators may have their driver’s license suspended for 1 to 3 months, depending on the severity of the violation.
• These fines apply to first-time offenses. Repeat offenses will incur higher penalties.
