“Excuse me, passengers, we’ll be stopping for a 5-minute break for you to rest and refresh.” This familiar phrase has resonated with generations of Vietnamese people, from the rickety buses and vans of yesteryear to the modern, comfortable coaches of today. Let’s join XE TẢI HÀ NỘI on a journey to explore how passenger buses connect all corners of Vietnam.

A Transforming Journey

From “Antique” Buses…

During times of hardship, passenger transport relied heavily on old, cramped buses prone to frequent breakdowns. Mr. Nguyen Van A, a veteran driver on the Hanoi – Hai Phong route, recalls: “Back then, driving a passenger bus was incredibly challenging. The roads were rough, the buses often broke down, and sometimes we were stranded for an entire day.” Yet, these “antique” buses persevered, carrying the dreams and aspirations of people from all over the country.
